Greta Horn is the disappointment of her generation.

The Horns are a well-known and much respected line of necromancer witches. If it can be done with and to human bodies, their parts, or the departed, they do it and do it well.

Except for Greta. She's utterly useless with blood and bone. Leave her around too many spirits of the dead, and she's likely to pass out and embarrass her family. It's clear she will never become part of the internal family power struggles.

But Greta has also figured out she has a particular gift with plants after training as an herbalist. More than a decade later, the clients at her boutique say her results are nothing short of magical and her skincare is to die for.
